Who is SESEI

Since 2012, Mr. Dinesh Chand Sharma is working in the capacity of Director – Standards & Public Policy for the Seconded European Standardization Expert in India (SESEI) project. SESEI acts as a strategic bridge between India and Europe on matters related to standardization, public policy, and regulation. In this role, Mr. Sharma represents the three leading European Standardization Organizations — European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), European Committee for Standardization (CEN), and European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) — in India. His work focuses on key sectors driving global transformation, including Digitization and Green & Clean Technologies.

Before joining SESEI, Mr. Sharma had a distinguished 15-year tenure at Ericsson, where he held various leadership roles, culminating as Director – Regulatory Affairs & Industry Relations. Beginning his career in Technical Customer Support in 1992, he gained extensive experience across Regulatory Affairs, Account & Commercial Management, and Customer Support, working both in India and the USA.

Mr. Sharma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, a Diploma in Business Management (with highest honors) from the Stratford Institute, USA, and is certified in SUN Solaris. With a career spanning over three decades, he continues to play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between India and Europe on standards, innovation, and sustainable technology development.
