EFTA Annual Report 2025
2025 was a landmark year for EFTA, marking 65 years of economic cooperation and the signing of six agreements with partners across three continents. Key milestones included free trade agreements with Thailand, Kosovo and Ukraine, as well as an economic partnership agreement with Malaysia and the conclusion of negotiations with MERCOSUR and Singapore.
A major highlight was the entry into force of the EFTA–India Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement in October 2025, strengthening economic ties between EFTA and one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.

The agreement with India, signed in March 2024, is a significant step towards realising the economic potential between an Asian powerhouse and highly specialised European markets.
