A key highlight was the conclusion of landmark deals with India and Thailand – two of the world’s largest markets – making EFTA the first European bloc to secure comprehensive free trade agreements with both.

The agreement with India, signed in March 2024, is a significant step towards realising the economic potential between an Asian powerhouse and highly specialised European markets.
