ETSI publishes a white paper on Network Transformation - Building on key technologies for 5G

ETSI has released a new white paper, entitled Network Transformation: Orchestration, Network and Service Management Framework, written by several of its Industry Specification Groups’ (ISG) Chairs. These groups have released specifications on key building block technologies for next-generation networks, feeding the 3GPP 5G specifications. The ETSI white paper gives an insight into how ETSI tackles various network transformation challenges through network function virtualization (NFV), multi-access edge computing (MEC), experiential networked intelligence (ENI) and zero-touch network service management (ZSM).

CEN-CENELEC published work programme 2020

CEN-CENELEC has published work programme 2020 which gives an overview of the main standardization developments and strategic priority areas CEN and CENELEC are ready to implement in 2020 across 14 business sectors. The Work Programme also presents a focus on three horizontal business topics, which have been selected based on their relevance to meet today’s challenges: Accessibility, Environment and Smart Society. Finally, the last part of the publication gives an overview on the most important strategic highlights that will characterise CEN and CENELEC’s development over the course of 2020 and beyond.

AIOTI, ISO/IEC JTC1, ETSI, oneM2M and W3C Collaborate on Two Joint White Papers on Semantic Interoperability Targeting Developers and Standardization Engineers

AIOTI announced its collaboration with ISO/IEC JTC1, ETSI, oneM2M and W3C in the publication of two joint white papers on semantic interoperability entitled Semantic IoT Solutions - A Developer Perspective and towards semantic interoperability standards based on ontologies in conjunction with organizations closely tied to the advancement of the IoT ecosystem. The documents are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License so that content can be freely shared and adapted provided users follow the agreed upon guidelines. The joint white papers have been published on Research-Gate and can be referenced as DOIs 10.13140/RG.2.2.16339.53286 and 10.13140/RG.2.2.26825.29282 respectively.
