MNRE issued the list of BIS standards applicable for components of Solar PV applications
Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued the list of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) standards which are applicable for components of solar photovoltaic (PV) applications. The list includes six products along with Indian Standard Number and the Title of Indian Standard.

In October 2018, the Supreme Court announced that the Indian automotive industry will transit from the Bharat Stage (BS)-IV emission norms to the BS-VI emission norms on April 1, 2020. From this date onwards, only BS-VI compliant vehicles will be sold in the country. While initially this was considered as a big challenge due to the skipping of the BS-V stage, the industry is now ready to meet the new emission standards.
Telecom Engineering Centre (TEC) has been asked to finalize standards for IoT/M2M as the country aspires to roll out 5G services at par with the rest of the world. The roadmap for M2M communications was released in May 2015 but the centre is yet to finalize generic requirement for the segment. So far, TEC has released Twelve Technical Reports (TRs) in the last three years.
