ETSI is organising the 1st (IPv6 over the Timeslotted Channel Hopping mode of IEEE 802.15.4e) Plugtests™ in Prague, Czech Republic from 17 to 19 July 2015 with the support of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) 6TiSCH Working Group and the H2020 Festival project. This event will be co-located with the 93rd IETF meeting (20 – 24 July 2015). The 6TiSCH Plugtests™ event will focus on assessing the interoperability of different implementations based on the draft-ietf-6tisch-minimal specification.

ETSI and TTA are pleased to announce the first oneM2M Interop event that will be held from the 14 to 16 September in the ETSI premises, in Sophia Antipolis, France. This event will be co-located with the oneM2M Technical Plenary #19 meeting (07-11 September 2015).
The purpose of this event is to verify the primitive’s interoperability as defined in the oneM2M standards and to check end-to-end functionality on oneM2M interfaces Mca (Application Entity – Common Service Entity) and Mcc (Common Service Entity – Common Service Entity).
This 3rd ETSI/IQC workshop on Quantum-Safe Cryptograph, aims at verifying on the one hand some of the ideas arisen in various discussions on the ETSI QSC White Paper and in particular to identify further development in the area of QSC as well as its practical application. Here the most recent requirements from industry and administrations, but also potential solutions stemming from the most recent research will be presented during this workshop.
Legislation is mandatory, set by public bodies and is accompanied by sanctions for non-compliance. As market-based tools, on the other hand, standards are developed for and by all interested parties, their use is voluntary and they are taken up when the market needs them. This webinar will explain how standards can support regulation, what are the specificities of the links between standards and regulation at European level.
Following the great success of the first ETSI NFV PoC ZONE during SDN & OpenFlow World Congress in 2014, ETSI has partnered again with Layer123 and is pleased to announce its second edition during the next SDN & OpenFlow World Congress, taking place on 13-16 October 2015 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The ETSI NFV PoC ZONE is an area within the World Congress Exhibition dedicated to the demonstration of Network Function Virtualisation Proofs of Concept (NFV PoCs) accepted by ETSI NFV ISG.
ETSI TC STQ is organising a workshop on “Telecommunication Quality beyond 2015”. The event, hosted by A1 Telekom Austria, will take place in Vienna, Austria, on 21-22 October 2015. TC STQ is responsible for standardization relating to terminals and networks for speech and media quality, end-to-end single media and multimedia transmission performance, Quality of Service (QoS) parameters for networks and services and Quality of Experience (QoE) descriptors and methods.
This workshop on “Telecommunication Quality beyond 2015” aims at connecting experts working in this area and providing them the opportunity to present their work and share their experiences.
The event will present the audience with an overview of the major key ETSI standardization work areas and in parallel set the scene on what is being achieved in India on those specific areas. The agenda will take us through the latest standardization developments in the areas of Machine to Machine (M2M), Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), future mobile technologies (5G) just to name a few. The detailed discussions, sharing of knowledge and best practices between the ETSI/European ICT experts and the Indian ICT community will create synergies and open new venues for collaboration to happen.
