Standardization is increasingly seen as a bridge between research, innovation, and the market, and as a means of capturing and disseminating knowledge, standards have a central role to play in supporting innovation.
Innovation, and the capacity to harness and bring innovative goods and services to market, has been identified in countless policy statements as being vital for boosting European competitiveness. Standards provide an important basis for developing solutions and ensure wider dissemination of research results.
European research projects can take full advantage of the benefits and opportunities offered by European standards, but often don’t know how. This European Conference will offer you the opportunity to engage with leading experts on innovation and standardization issues to discuss, challenge, and learn how standardization can facilitate and further European innovation. Speakers will include representatives of standards bodies and researchers at national and European levels.
A remote Plugtests interoperability event concentrating on validation of ETSI advanced electronic signatures will be held from 03 November to 21 November 2014.
The event will facilitate the implementation of Commission Decision 2011/130/EC, which requires Member States to be able to process documents signed with XAdES, PAdES, CAdES, and ASiC. In this respect, the event aims at checking the interoperability of e-Signatures in order to detect possible issues which may lead to different validation results.
An ETSI Summit on Critical Communications
The annual ETSI Summit explores issues of strategic significance to ETSI, led by keynote speakers who are leaders in their fields. The subjects discussed are, or will become the hot topics for most of ETSI’s members. Adding a unique standards perspective not found in other industry events, the ETSI Summit confirms ETSI as a thought-leader in the ICT industry.
ETSI is pleased to invite you to a workshop on reconfigurable radio systems on 3-4 December 2014, Sophia Antipolis, France. During the workshop, you will also have the opportunity to visit some demonstrations.
ETSI, as a partner in oneM2M is proud to announce the launch of its 5th Workshop on Machine to Machine Communications from 9 to 11 December 2014. The event, endorsed by oneM2M, will take place in the newly refurbished ETSI premises, in Sophia Antipolis in the South of France.
This workshop has become a fixture in ETSI’s workshop calendar, and regularly attracts over 200 participants.
