Seconded European Standardization Expert in India

Indo-European Conference on Fostering Cooperation in Research, Innovation and IPR, Jointly organized by European Patent Office (EPO), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), and European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC), held on 5/6/2015

An IPR focused seminar was organised jointly by EBTC and CII. Prominent speakers from EBTC, EBG ( European Business Group), European IPR experts and Senior officials from DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion an Ministry of Commerce & Industry spoke extensively on the IPR and patent related issues. The main topics discussed during the conference were:

  • Public policy and government initiatives in the area of research, innovation and IPR
  • Fostering competitiveness and economic development through bilateral co-operation in research, innovation and IPR
  • How to benefit from ‘Make in India’ – the needs and expectations of the user community in respect of IPR
  • Best practices in strengthening IPR administration through international co-operation

SESEI participated in the seminar and gained more insight into the IPR and patent related issues. He also got the opportunity to interact with the IPR experts and Ministry officials.
